This is a miniature slant-front wooden writing desk with ornate legs, small drawers, pigeonholes inside, and brass hardware. It is finely crafted, resembling antique furniture but in small scale, likely intended as a dollhouse piece or collectible model. Height 22cm or 8,66'. Width about 15m or 6'.
Depth about 11cm or 4,33'. The top has a slanted front that folds down to form a writing surface (a common design in roll-top or slant-front desks). The writing surface is supported by two pull-out wooden side supports visible on the left and right. These supports are small knobs that slide outward. Inside the top section are five small compartments designed like pigeonholes. Below these compartments are five tiny drawers with small round knobs, suitable for holding miniature documents, letters, or writing tools (if this were a real desk). There is also a secret area in middle, right underneath the 3 central drawers, which opend by sliding back the top cover. The central area has some small decorative arches above the 3 drawers, adding elegance. Beneath the writing surface is a single larger drawer with two circular brass handles (ring pulls). The drawer front is flat and polished, showing the natural wood grain. The desk stands on five turned wooden legs, connected by curved wooden stretchers (o ne part repaired - glued / please see last photo), forming an ornate base. The legs are rounded, with carved details giving them a spindle-like appearance.
The bottom is sturdy but still elegant, showing fine craftsmanship. The piece is made of polished wood, with visible wood grain and a warm brown finish. The design resembles 18th century European furniture, possibly Dutch, with baroque or Georgian influences in the legs and arches. The brass hardware (drawer pulls and hinges) adds a vintage touch.
