Dolls House 1/12 Scale Vintage Phoenix Miniatures Double Metal Bed & Bedding

  

Beautiful Victorian style metal bed made from a kit by Phoenix Miniatures, by a previous owner. When the bed came to me it was all in pieces with damaged paintwork. I have glued it all back together, but it is a fragile design. The mattress support layer is I think a homemade addition from metal and cotton threads. I have bent it back into shape as much as possible.

The whole bed has been repainted black and with newly highlighted gold colour brass knobs. One of the knobs was missing so I have made a replacement (hopefully not obvious). There are also gold highlighted non moving castors at the bottom of the bedposts.

The handmade mattress came with the bed, but the cover and pillow I have made new. The fabric is cream with shades of pink roses and cream lace trimmings. Overall the bed is approximately 16.5cm long, 11cm wide and 11cm high at one end and 9.5cm high at the other.
