Antique Edwardian Circa 1900 Dolls House Original Exterior & Interior Paintwork

  

ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN CIRCA 1900 DOLLS HOUSE ORIGINAL EXTERIOR & INTERIOR PAINTWORK & DECOR. This charming all original antique Edwardian dolls house is (scratch built) handmade and dates from circa 1900. It has four rooms (two up and two down). The little attic room window in the roof is faux (there is no access to the attic). There are six windows (three are bay windows).

It's made of wood and has the original glass window panes intact and undamaged. The wooden roof tiles are individually cut and the three chimneys are original and undamaged. The house has no signs or evidence of woodworm past or present.

It measures approximately: Height 22 inches (56cm). Width 16½ inches (42cm) Depth including base 10½ inches (27cm) Depth of actual house (not including base) 8 inches (20cm) Floor to ceiling height of the rooms 8 inches (20cm). The exterior paintwork, front door, roofing tiles, chimneys, etc.

Are all original, untouched, with no later repainting or repairs. The interior is also all original, wallpapers, flooring, fireplaces (in the two larger rooms), and the tiny pictures still on some of the walls, etc. The front opens in two sections (see photos). The windows still retain their original antique lace curtains.

As can be seen in the photos the centre partition wall is somewhat bowed, but the wood is not cracked , just bowed and it would be a relatively simple procedure to pin the wall back into place should it's new owner wish to repair it. The bowed interior wall does not affect the structural stability of the dolls house in any way. The back part of the bowed interior wall is not affected it is only bowed on the front side of the house.

Other than this minor age related issue the dolls house is in very good sound condition for it's age. It displays beautifully and is delightful ex. Ample of an antique English Edwardian Dolls House.
