There is a central external staircase that leads up to a large first floor balcony and the first floor room which has a large fireplace, 6 wall lights and 2 electrical sockets. Another external staircase rises from the balcony to the room adjoining the Great Hall on the second floor, via a removable loft hatch. This room has oak panelling, 6 wall lights and 2 electrical sockets. At the back of the room there is a working hinged and latched door leading through to the Great Hall which has its own hinged and latched door. The Great Hall is a very large double height room, with exposed roof timbers.
The room has oak panelling, a real limestone fire surround, 6 wall lights, two 3 arm chandeliers and 2 high level lights in the roof, along with 2 electrical sockets. Across the back of the hall is a removable Minstrel Galley which has its own ladder, balustrading and support post, which can be positioned or removed in just a minute. The final room is the attic room which is accessed via an internal staircase, the room has 2 wall lights, a chandelier and 2 high level lights in the roof timbers, along with an electrical socket. The house sits on top of a brick work plinth and has a smoking chimney and 3 built in speakers that an MP3 player can be connected to, to play medieval minstrel style music through. All of the staircases and balustrades are left loose so you can choose which way round to position them or leave them out altogether. All electrics are controlled via a remote controlled system with each room being on separate circuits so they can be controlled individually. The electric sockets dotted throughout the house are also connected to the control board so anything that is plugged into them can also be controlled via the remote controller. There are numerous mouse-holes throughout the house, which you would expect from a house that is 100's of years old. The Rochester Hall is probably the most complicated structured house built to date by Kevin, with every single one of the 2500 pieces used to construct it hand made and fitted individually.
