This is an original fully hallmarked 1904 Sterling Silver Novelty "Dolls House" 3 Piece Tea Set with original Silver mounted tray, full Assay marks for 1904, 3 items have the Birmingham "e" date stamp for that year and one item has the "D" of Chester for 1904, all have the correct makers stamp for Saunders & Shepherd as they should, large important companies like Saunders & Shepherd often used 2 or more Assay houses at any one time so finding sets with stamps like this is common place, sometimes dates even vary by a year or 2 but in this case they are all assay stamped for 1904 correctly. Saunders & Shepherd where basically 2 partners, Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd who at this point seemed to have their main office at Bartlett's Passage, Holborn Circus in London, they are very highly regarded and to save writing all day please look them up, they produced some very unusual novelty silver and none more so than this quite unusual & rare little set. Its needing a clean but is basically in good original estate find condition. Size: Approx 8.5 cm long, max length for the silver mounted tray.
