Jarrah Wood Butterfly Display The unit is entirely handmade by Jarrah Miniatures and is made from Australian Jarrah Wood which is a very hard wood and known for its difficulty in carving.

This piece has a lovely tactile feel to the wood. Each butterfly and moth is made using the finest quality sheer paper which brings out the fine colour detail and I have added the finest antennae. All the labels are old and illegible. Butterfly collecting was a very popular pastime in the 19th Century and although not outlawed, there is a code of practice for collecting these wonderful creatures today.

The unit measures H7.7cm x W4.3cm x D3.9cm. The butterflies and moths are fixed in place. Eminently suitable for a house, Museum, antique shop, Lepidoptera studies etc.

Due to handmade element, each unit containd slightly different butterflies. The doll is to show scale only and is not included.
