DESCRIPTION- 26 Artisan pieces combined. Excellent Jim Ison Cupboard from 1997, limited to 10 (this is #2) in aged putty mustard colored paint filled with 25 artisan pieces.
1 of these is a fabulous art pottery piece by Jane Graber from 2017 with great color (see third photo). 22 of these are Jane's Pine Cone pottery (including the rarely seen raised cake plate) plus there are 2 other artisan pieces. One is a rolling pin in a nice matching color by an artisan at Good Sam, but I can't remember her name. Then there is one dark jug that matches well but I'm not sure of the artist as it is unsigned. The cupboard color is best represented in the fourth photo, a very nice aged mustard without a green or red tint, but the flash adds those. The cupboard has a nice scalloped cutout border around the shelves, a wonderful latch to close the blind door cupboard & a grooves to hold plates on every shelf just like its full size equivalent. It measures 6 & 7/16" tall X 3 & 3/16" wide X slightly over 1 deep. With the work of four artisans together, this piece is a wonderful one-of-a-kind assemblage.
I like any good looking furniture with Graber pottery, but vintage pieces are my favorite. I really like it & hope you will too. POTTERY MAKER- Jane Graber, is a member of the IGMA (International Guild of Miniature Artisans), has been making miniature replicas of 18th- and 19th-century American salt-glaze stoneware for more than 35 years, hand-throwing each piece on a potter's wheel, then painting and signing her work. She is internationally recognized for her craft, has been featured on the cover of Ceramics Monthly, and regularly does solo and group shows in the U.
Her work is extraordinary; she is widely recognized as the best living miniaturist potter & without question is definitely the best in terms of stoneware & redware. In the later-1980s, Jane began hand-throwing replicas of early American sgraffito redware, which is quite popular among her collectors and others who love Americana. Her pieces have great potential for increasing in value & I completely adore them. She is the nicest DH artisan I've ever met or dealt with, no offense to others, just my experience. CONDITION- Cupboard & dark jug are in excellent vintage condition with no issues, rest is new. The cupboard one tiny dark spot on the right edge molding, about like a pen dot but is not an issue. Our previous 21 years experience with antiques enables us to have a discerning eye when it comes to proper scale in miniatures.
