Sanders has been creating one-of-a-kind dolls and dollhouse miniatures by hand for years and she's rubbed shoulders at shows with the best of them, everyone from Marcia Backstom to Susan Harmon to James Carrington. Her creations and personality left me in awe, she is a true miniature artisan with a love for her craft. She has decided to bestow Magpie Miniatures to curate her collection and find a special home for each one of her own treasures. The group photo (second photo) is just a tiny selection of what's to come.

Now remember, each one is one of a kind, there's only one of each. She used these pieces in her own shows or loved them so much she couldn't bear to let go...

This is an old Victorian crone dollhouse doll. She was made by hand by Cathy Sanders with the most incredible attention to color, figure, shadows, and posing. She looks ornery and crabby, and not at all pleased.

Her face and hands are masterfully sculpted with the wrinkles of time, and she looks quite ill-tempered. She is hand sculpted of clay, with a hand painted face which included narrowed brown eyes and pursed rose colored lips. Her hands are so realistically old and aged, as well. Years of ill-temper etched in her face!

She has a pouf of salt and pepper wild hair tucked under an over-the-top silk hat. Her hat is covered in hand pleated black silk, and plumes of multi colored feathers She is dressed in a silk pink and black pin striped gown, and capelet. Her dress is adorned with black trims and tassels, little buttons and lace cuffs. Peek under her skirt, and you will find layers of hand made petticoats, and amazing hand crafted black period shoes. She can sit, stand, move her arms.

Her gown's fabric was sourced from an antique silk fabric, giving it the perfectly scaled pattern! 1:12 Scale, 5" Tall (6" with hat height).
