1/12 SCALE DOLLS HOUSE MINIATURE PIETRA DURA TABLE BY KARL McNICHOLL. There is a spread about this in "dollhouse Miniatures" magazine. This is a very rare Karl McNicholl miniature marble (Pietra Dura) table. This is a limited edition of just 1 of 1.

Signed and dated by the artist. Karl made his first appearance at the London Dolls house festival in London. He did many fairs including Tom Bishops Chicago shows. His speciality was Pietra Dura which is the art of pictures in marble and semi precious stone as well as his own work he made one-off marble tops for well known miniaturists including John Hodgson. Comes with original Certificate of Authentication.

Pietra Dura Table by Karl McNichol Very rare. There is a spread about this in "dollhouse Miniatures" magazine Aug 2001. This table has 101 hand cut pieces of marble in the main top with the body being Mahogany with Rosewood Veneer it was featured in the Dollhouse Miniature magazine (Not included), his work is also in many museums well know for working in rare woods. This piece is very rare and Karl McNicholl was the only person in the world to work with Pietra Dura in miniature. It measures H 8.7cm x W10.6cm x D 4.4cm.

I believe he retired in 2003? This is a 12th scale (1 scale) collector's item and not suitable for persons under the age of 14 years.
