Dolls House 1/12 Scale Miniature Customised Lady & The Tramp Pet Shop Room Box

  
Lovely wooden opening room shop box which I have customised. Now with a new bay window and painted in light pink and sage green. I have taken inspiration from the increase in the popularity of domestic pets in Victorian times and consideration of animal welfare, including by Queen Victoria herself. The name above the shop door M. Tealby, stands for Mary Tealby who actually founded Battersea dogs home in 1860 rather than a pink pet shop! Inside there is the full collection of Lady & the Tramp miniature porcelain dogs and cats (11) in total from the Disney film.

It has taken me a while to collect them all. I think they are all in complete condition, but only 3 have the original Wade makers mark underneath. They range between approximately 4 and 6cm, so are quite a good size for 1/12 scale setting. I have also added 5 other porcelain vintage cats and kittens ranging between approximately 3 and 6cm.

Inside I have used new pink and white striped floral wallpaper and black and white/grey embossed marble like floor tiles. The fixed blinds are made from cream fabric with pink spots and lace. I have then added vintage images of cats, dogs and vintage advertisements all around. The mahogany cabinet (25cm x 4cm x 22cm high) is in a Victorian style and has opening cupboard doors and drawers.

The pictures are glued inside, but the cabinet is not glued into the pet shop. The counter (15cm x 4.5cm x 9cm) which I have painted green with Dalmatian paper has shelving and 2 opening doors, and is also not glued into the shop to enable re positioning (looks finished both sides). I have made a loose green pet pen (10cm x 6cm x 6.5cm high) for the 2 resin rabbits and the tortoise with hessian lining and pink gauze ribbon barriers.

These pets can all come out. There are 2 bird cages (12cm and 14cm high) with one and 2 birds fixed inside, newly painted in pink and green. The pink one has an opening little door. There are also 3 oval resin pet beds which I have re upholstered.

Plenty of room to change things around and even add in a few more! The doll is the only thing not included. From a smoke free home.
