ITEM- 2013 Barbara Vajnar Dollhouse Miniature Queen Anne Dry Sink + 22 pcs Jane Graber Stoneware Pottery. To me, these two artists are so skilled at making things to scale that viewing their work together, properly placed, is a delight. In this piece, the owner, not having to use this as their sink, has used this one to display all their wonderful decorated blue salt-glazed stoneware, but you can do whatever you'd like with it all. DRY SINK- This fabulous queen anne dry sink was made in 2013 by Barbara Vajnar by hand & hand-painted & distressed.

The dry sink is so wonderfully crafted & intentionally aged. I love the stress spots from "wear" on the lip of the sink & on drawers from "use". It is in the best blue, which I believe she called Federal Blue (but I'm not 100% certain). It looks quite dark in normal, indirect light (closer to the third photo) & much brighter under direct light such as in the first photo. My favorite part of it are the little wooden latches that lock the lower blind cupboard doors when not in use.

I bought it from her new & have not used it, only put the pottery in it I bought newly & no piece has ever even been stuck down with anything, so all is in new condition, though not brand new, as in just bought. I think it looks great in this piece & I hope you will too. The sink measures 6 & 1/8" long X 4 & 6/16" tall X & 1 & 5/16 deep. POTTERY- It is wonderfully enhanced by 22 pieces of Jane Graber's hand-painted stoneware pottery. On top is the mortar/pestle. In the top middle slot (which never had a drawer & was made just this way), there is one large floral plate with decorative border between two cups with decorations closely matching that border. On the main shelf where the dry sink had been used in pervious years, now it is decorated with pottery from left to right: double handled flag jug, covered butter jar, Floral spray platter, floral teapot (this is a set with the plate & 2 cups on the shelf above), a fabulous crock with a bird flyiing over Amerika, then a pig bank, a bird on branch platter, salt box, & eagle one-handled jug. Inside the bottom on shelves are on top set of 3 mixing bowls & floral crock, & on the bottom: floral cookie jar & 1985 mixing bowl. Outside to the right stands a 4 gallon eagle butter churn. JANE GRABER- Jane Graber, is a member of the IGMA (International Guild of Miniature Artisans), has been making miniature replicas of 18th- and 19th-century American salt-glaze stoneware for more than 35 years, hand-throwing each piece on a potter's wheel, then painting and signing her work.

She is internationally recognized for her craft, has been featured on the cover of Ceramics Monthly, and regularly does solo and group shows in the U. Her work is extraordinary; she is widely recognized as the best living miniaturist potter & without question is definitely the best in terms of stoneware & redware. In the later-1980s, Jane began hand-throwing replicas of early American sgraffito redware, which is quite popular among her collectors and others who love Americana.

Her pieces have great potential for increasing in value & I completely adore them. She is the nicest DH artisan I've ever met or dealt with, no offense to others as I have other favorites, but that has just been my experience. CONDITION- All pieces are in excellent, new condition with no damage. The cupboard was made distressed & aged on purpose & has the irregularities of an antique piece, the second & third drawers on the bottom left are not 100% flush but this is common in old pieces, was done by the artist originally, & is not damage.

Our previous 21 years experience with antiques enables us to have a discerning eye when it comes to proper scale in miniatures. We hope you will choose to do business with us. Sometimes BIN prices go down, sometimes they don't, but I have the most room during promotional periods.

We describe our items thoroughly & offer many photos. What you see is what you will get. If you read & look thoroughly, you will get what you expect & hopefully you will be pleased. Our description is our description, no need to study our clear photos to try to see damage we didn't describe, as we always do our best to look closely for issues beforehand so you won't have to upon arrival.
