Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we believe it would date to the mid part of the 20th century, potentially earlier.

The house (or mansion) is impressive in so many ways. The craftsmanship is wonderful, the intricate detailing inside is mind blowing, and the current condition shows off the charm and authenticity of this amazing piece. Standing on casters, the house is an impressive 1.2 metres high and 1.2 metres wide. Made in a variety of woods, we would assume the dolls house is there to depict a tudor style house or mansion. Inside reveals many different rooms with feature pieces, such as fireplaces and kitchen cupboards etc.

The main centre piece being the grand stair case as you open the central door. Some of the windows have actual glass yet some have a form of thin covering. Structurally the house stands on six casters, yet interestingly the back ones do not touch the floor. That said, the house perfectly free stands in it current form, is relatively heavy, yet easily movable too. In terms of condition, it is tatty in places and of course would need some attention.

A good deep clean and a few fixes here or there could really bring this piece to life. That said, its impressive in its current form, and even though there are some tiles missing and maybe a door or window or too, it doesnt detract from its beauty. We are offering this piece in as found condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. As suggested above, the entire piece is good structurally. There are surface marks and scratches, paint chipping, some cracks in the windows, some tatty wood, broken pieces, some rusty clamps (that are meant to keep the doors closed, are currently frozen) etc We think the current condition simply adds to its charm and authenticity but please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections.

Condition : Structurally good, some surface marks and scratches, paint chipping, some rough edges, tatty in places, dirty in places, broken pieces, rusty bolts, some parts missing.
