The top rail is flanked by further scroll shaped carvings at each end. Serpentine-arched top rail, the seat rail and arm facings rail are heavily carved with a reticulated leaf scroll. Further carved decoration can be found on the deep shaped skirt carved with a repeat of the foliated scroll work. The frame boasts attractive up-swept scroll end arms decorated with foliated carvings that continue through to decorate the curved splay legs.

At the end of the legs are carved scrolls that serve as the feet for the sofa.
