Dollhouse Miniature Eli Terry Federal Mantle Clock #2/4. Was expertly carved & made by Ron Terrill & features. The proper old dark surface. All the hardware was hand made & the tiny hinges are amazing miniatures on their own.

This is a to scale copy of a Plymouth, CT Federal Pillar & Scroll Mantle Clock by Eli (or Samuel) Terry C. S neck scrolled pediment (crest) with hand machine turned brass urn finials (all differ slightly), elegant hand-turned freestanding side columns, delicate tapered cutout feet & scrolled apron, case has a delicately hinged paneled door with turned brass pull that opens to reveal white painted clock face (dial) with black Arabic numerals and floral spandrels in the corners & with gorgeous pierced hands, reverse-painted glass lower panel with scene with a basket of flowers & plants inside a rectangular decorative frame border & with an oval gold leaf floral garland pendulum aperture. Once the door is opened, rather than a pendulum inside there is a screwed in brass plaque which says R. On the back is a well made hinged brass battery cover with a screw to keep it closed. Behind the pediment is a brass knob to set the time.

This clock is so far superior to most dollhouse clocks. Ron Terrill's work always brings very good prices though.

Based upon my research, his work is very rare & is very limited in number such as this edition of 4. This measures 2 & 11/16" tall (top top of center finial) X 1 & 9/16" wide X 5/8 deep.

Xcellent vintage condition, no visible issues. I put a new battery in it today (26th) & so far I can't get it to run.
